Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I'm still getting used to writing in markdown. I was able to learn latex so this shouldn't be too bad. Plus, the react markdown editor I'm using to write this comes with a whole bunch of markdown shortcuts.

SO you must wonder, why did I attach a picture of the diner scene from Heat (1995). Well, that scene is incredible and I needed to start out this "blog" with a bang. Is it a blog? A diary?

I am still sort of undecided on what kind of posts I want to make on this part of my website. Do I want to keep it professional? Not really. I have so much brewing up in my head. I need a place to empty the clip and I am hoping this is where I'll be able to do that.

Another inspiration for this little blog would be the Bill Simmons podcast. Bill and Cousin Sal do this thing called 'parent corner' where they tell stories of their family lives. So I'm sort of stealing that 'corner' piece and using it as the name for the blog. Simmons has also inspired me to even write any of this down. I was reading some of his archived ESPN columns and could you ever see why he became as big as he is. Could you imagine what it was like before doom scrolling existed and we all had attention spans longer than 2 seconds? How amazing it would be to just read something entertaining. Some days I find myself not being able to read anything longer than a couple of paragraphs before my brain gives out. I really need to sort that out.

Anyways, I am using blog as a brain dump. It's therapeutic to just let it rip sometimes. For anyone that stumbles into this, hopefully you enjoy the stay!
